“ Scheduled a test drive and came from our of town to do so. We arrived and were left waiting 20 minutes until we went to ask about it only to be told the car sold 20 minutes before we arrived. Very disappointed in this experience and will not be returning. ”
“ This dealership is, unfortunately, one of the worst I’ve ever dealt with. When we first arrived, the experience was great—our sales representative was wonderful. However, once it came time to finalize financing, everything went downhill. After we signed all paperwork and paid our down payment, the finance representative simply shook my hand, said congratulations, and walked away. My husband and I were left standing there with no keys and no direction on what to do next. No one approached us. We eventually had to walk to another building to find someone, who then had to track down our sales representative for us. The finance process felt extremely unprofessional, and some basic guidance or information on where to get the keys to our vehicle would have gone a long way. When we finally found our sales rep, he was cleaning my car. I was told that the service department refused to inspect the vehicle because they “didn’t have time” and “didn’t want to inspect it”, which is completely untrue. As a result, no proper inspection was done. A few days later, we noticed my license plate was practically falling off due to a poor installation, and we had to purchase parts ourselves to fix it. About a week later, my car began leaking oil. It turned out there were was a cracked turbo hose—something that absolutely should have been caught during a basic inspection. Additionally, our paperwork clearly states that World Car agreed to fix the broken rearview mirror. I waited over a week without hearing anything before going in person, only then to have the mirror ordered. After waiting another two weeks, my husband and I repeatedly reached out, only to be told that the mirror was returned because my car is under factory warranty even though it’s in the paperwork that World Car would fix it. Instead of communicating this upfront, they made us wait three weeks just to tell us they couldn’t fix it. Regarding the oil leak, World Car told me they contacted Volkswagen of Alamo Heights and were supposedly informed that my car could not be taken there. When I personally called Volkswagen of Alamo Heights, Iris was more than happy to schedule my car immediately. This made it feel like World Car simply did not want to take responsibility. Trying to contact the service department at World Car is nearly impossible. They never answer the phone, no matter how many times you call, and the front desk staff at both the Kia and Mazda sides are not helpful. I even purchased a service warranty through them, but I don’t understand how I’m supposed to use it when no one in service will answer or return calls. Overall, unless you are specifically buying a Mazda or Kia—and even then, I would be cautious—I strongly recommend not wasting your time here. The lack of professionalism, communication, and accountability made this entire experience incredibly frustrating. Even friends of ours have advised against using this dealership. This was an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. ”
