2010 Mazda MAZDA6 Review OverviewThe 2010 Mazda MAZDA6 is bigger with a longer wheelbase, a wider and more stable stance, and more interior room that sits five passengers. Increased leg room in the front cabin and rear passenger room make it a sufficiently roomy vehicle in the mid-size cars category. Besides, the Mazda MAZDA6 provides best-in-class cargo space. The 2010 Mazda MAZDA6 is available as a four-door front-wheel drive (FWD) sedan only in i and s models in SV, Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring trims. A new Touring Plus trim joins the line-up for 2010 and a new Technology Package is now available on the Grand Touring.Power and performanceCustomers can choose between two engines - a 170-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder or a 272-hp 3.7-liter V6 engine. The 2.5 engine can be teamed with either a six-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic, while the V6 is made exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission.Body and stylingThe Mazda MAZDA6 was completely redesigned for 2009. The 2010 model gives more to the passengers in the rear in terms of leg, shoulder, and hip room. It is the only vehicle in its class to offer the Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) System. The available Mazda Advanced Keyless Entry & Start System, allows the owner to unlock it without pulling out the keys from the pocket and, once inside, the available push-button start turns on the car ignition. A custom-tuned Bose Premium Centerpoint Surround Sound System with 10-speakers is available along with a voice-activated DVD navigation system and Bluetooth phone and audio capability. Its total cargo volume is 16.6 cubic feet.Safety FeaturesSome of the standard safety features of the 2010 Mazda MAZDA6 include a tire pressure monitoring system, anti-lock brakes, anti-theft system, child seat anchors, side-impact and side-curtain airbags, and electronic stability and traction control. A blind spot monitoring system is standard on Touring Plus and Grand Touring trims. |
